me and the gamers out there who loved those games) modders are not wasting their time to make the game more appetizing to graphic whores who don't like the Doom3 gameplay, the modders are probably big fans of Doom3 themselves, that's why they're spending so much time and effort into making the mods.
Improved graphics are only for the fans of the game (eg. Click to expand.Doom 3 in short bursts was a fantastic game, the same goes for mindless shooters like Serious Sam and Will Rock etc.
